There can really only be one start to our tale...Once upon a time, a young woman sat in a lovely Thai restaurant in Berkeley, California waiting for her food to arrive. Little did she know that her life was about to change forever. For that would be the day she discovered the incredible, the indescribable Pad See Ew. Yes my friends, that was the first day she discovered the hidden Asian depths of her soul. Now, five years later, she is off to get a closer taste, she is off to travel Thailand...
Ya know.. I am checking this thing every day and am quite disappointed that there is no new story to read here!! Reposting a picture? What is this? This is recycled material thats what this is! And I won't stand for it!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have abandoned your gentle readers! Curse you and the curly haired horse you rode in on!!
Still love ya tho! *kisses*
For your next fruit, please try the "Durian," the ONLY Thailand fruit I could find in all of the Berkeley Bowl. See description below:
ReplyDelete"The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia."
